Alistair graduated from Birmingham University in 1989 and joined WSP (formerly Kenchington Little plc) where he worked on a number of new superstores for J. Sainsbury and three buildings for Harrow School including a new theatre.
He joined Price & Myers in 1994 and has worked on a number of major projects including New Student Accommodation at Balliol College, Oxford (£3m, 1996) with MacCormac Jamieson Prichard; a new Head Office and Distribution Centre for Computacenter (£35m, 2002) with Scott Brownrigg Turner Architects; the Education Centre for the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in London (£8m, 2001, Civic Trust Award 2002, Concrete Society Award 2002) with Nicholas Hare Architects; 17 new buildings at Kings Hill Business Park, Kent for Rouse Kent Ltd, including new headquarters for the Charities Aid Foundation (£3.3m, 1995, Concrete Society Award 1996), also with Nicholas Hare Architects; a mixed use office/light industrial and housing development for Network Housing, (£25m, 2004) with Wates Construction; a redevelopment of offices in St James's Square with Eric Parry Architects (£30m, completed to RIBA Stage D); and the major refurbishment of the Grade I listed Royal Festival Hall with Allies and Morrison (£111m, 2007).
