   Adrienne Burrows is a Maryland Artist who has lived in Bowie most of her life. She worked for AT&T and Digital Equipment Corporation for several years. Adrienne pursued her art as a hobby throughout her life, but started actively painting in 1991. In September of 1995 she started painting full time from her studio in Bowie.
   
   Adrienne enjoys working in a variety of mediums including oil, pastel, watercolor, scratchboard, and pencil.

   Adrienne has won many awards for her paintings, in addition she has been awarded two grants from the Prince George's Arts Council. She is a member of the Guild of Bowie Artists, and a member and past president of the Prince George's Artist Association. She belongs to the Maryland Pastel Society and the Washington Society of Landscape Painters.

She has studied Traditional Landscapes with James Masters, and has taken wildlife workshops with John Seerey Lester and Carl Brenders. This September she will be attending the Beartooth School of Art for a Plein Air workshop with Paco Young.
   
   There have been many solo exhibitions including the Federal Courthouse in Greenbelt, Md., WSSC Corporate Gallery in Laurel, Md. The Top of the World Trade Center in Baltimore, Md., Bowie City Hall, and the Obelyn Art Gallery in Annapolis Md.
   
   Adrienne has won many awards for her paintings, in addition she has been awarded two grants from the Prince George's Arts Council.
