   Mr. Burroughs was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County. He was retired from Alabama Power Co., where he had been employed as a supervisor more than eight years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Ashland and Ashland Quarterback Club. He was preceded in death by a son, Mark Burroughs.
   
   In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church youth sound system.
