   Rikky, 15, is the daughter of Kenneth and Robyn Burrier. The Burrier family operates a 126-acre farm in Union Bridge and milks around 50 cows. Rikky's responsibilities include milking, feeding calves milk and feeding goats and rabbits. She owns 15 to 20 of her own dairy cows.
   
   The Walkersville High School sophomore is a member of the school's FFA chapter. Through FFA, she participated in dairy foods and horse judging and competed in the horticulture bowl and FFA Creed contests. She held the office of chapter reporter, was active in the Glade Valley Community Show and helped with the FFA homecoming float.
   
   Rikky also is a member of the Montgomery County Holstein Club and the Maryland Jersey Cattle Association. She served as secretary and president of her 4-H club and exhibited her dairy cattle at various shows. Previously, she was a Frederick County Farm Bureau Little Farmerette, Maryland Jersey Princess and Frederick County Dairy Maid.
   
   She said her experience as Jersey princess prepared her to serve as dairy princess since she interacted with the public about the benefits of the higher protein and butterfat content of Jersey milk.
   
   During her tenure as Dairy Maid, she distributed ice cream and other dairy products at events from Frederick County Agriculture Week at the Mall and The Great Frederick Fair to a Fourth of July celebration and Frederick's largest yard sale.
   
   The active youth is a junior member of the Union Bridge Fire Co., which will help her accomplish her future goals of becoming a registered nurse and joining the Maryland State Police as a flight nurse.
