   Shelia Burrell is one of our nation's best athletes. Shelia has competed in two Olympic games and won five National Championships in an event that personifies the title bestowed upon it, "World's Greatest Athlete." Shelia competes in the Heptathlon, a grueling and demanding two-day event that consists of the 100 Meter Hurdles, High Jump, Shot Put, 200 Meters, Long Jump, Javelin, and 800 Meters. She has won numerous awards and honors for her athletic achievements. Being the sole American to win a championship medal at an international competition since the great Jackie Joyner Kersee, Shelia has secured a place in track and field history annals.

   Outside of her athletic endeavors, Shelia has committed herself toward inspiring young people to pursue their dreams with purpose and diligence while motivating adults to take their lives to the next level of performance through health and fitness. She has spoken at corporate events for Visa, Athletes in Action, Nike and various other organizations, including the Boys and Girls Club, Success Workshops and Panels and an annual clinician for Bridging the Gap from Youth to Olympian.
