Posted by: flomosr on Monday, June 04, 2007 - 04:54 AM
General InformationMeet Scott Burrell, the new SE Region representative to the National ACS Board.Scott is currently the Director of Horticulture for the VA Historical Society in Richmond VA.(http://www.vahistorical.org/)
Scott has a keen eye for conifers and has included some of the most beautiful specimens in the gardens. He is currently establishing a larger dwarf collection on the grounds, and has been diligent in exploring the options and expanding the choices he thinks may work in his area. His position at the VA Historical Society makes him very familiar with non-profit organizations, and with volunteer boards, so he should be immediately ready to contribute to the board's work.
We in the SE appreciate his willingness to serve, and know he will be a real asset to the national board. -
