   Burrell, a Calgary, Alberta, native comes to WTAMU from Pittsburg State, where she spent two years as assistant coach.
   
   At Pittsburg State, Burrell helped direct the Gorillas to their first back-to-back winning seasons in the history of the program.
   
   Burrell earned a master's degree in physical education at Pittsburg State this past spring.
   
   Burrell was a setter for two years at Bellevue University in Bellevue, Neb., where she was a two-time All-Midlands Collegiate Athletics Conference honoree and team captain her senior year.
   
   While at Bellevue, Burrell earned a bachelor's of science degree in sports management.
   
   Burrell transferred to Bellevue from Brown Mackie College in Salina, Kan.
   
   The Lady Buffs are coming off a 35-3 season in 2002, winning their fourth consecutive Lone Star Conference title, losing to Truman State in the Elite Eight quarterfinals.
