   Mr Jonathon Burrell, "Trafalgar", is the President of the local Parents and Citizens Association and has been actively involved in pursuing funding for the pool project. Mr Burrell has been working closely with all levels of government, and is confident additional funds will be forthcoming from the recently re-elected Coalition government.

   Mr Burrell, received Deltapine's donation on behalf of the local community, and comments that 'any contribution is most welcome to the Dirranbandi Pool Building Fund. 'Our battle to re-build this recreational facility for our children in the district is gaining momentum and is a critical issue for the community - for the sake of safety and to ease the intensity of the summer months especially for the children here in the bush.'
   
   Mr and Mrs Burrell have three children, all attending the local school. 'Our children love swimming, as do their class mates, and it's not often parents in the area can drive loads of children to the nearest facility to swim.' 'The school children dream of having a swimming carnival here again, which would be wonderful,' Mr Burrell continues, 'It's hot enough now in early November, it looks as though we may have a long and hot summer ahead.'
