"I am delighted that Malcolm has taken up this key post in the Comhairle. He was a very strong candidate and up against considerable competition. There are many challenges ahead for the Western Isles and the role of Chief Executive will be instrumental in leading the paid service and fulfilling the aims and objectives set by the Comhairle. I look forward to welcoming Malcolm and Chrissie when they move back to the Western Isles".
