In 1942, Bill enlisted in the Army Air Corps and was reassigned to Air Transportation Command Flight Traffic, ferrying supplies and equipment throughout the War effort. Following WWII, he attended Shenandoah College, Syracuse University and the School of Radio and Television Technique in New York City. During the infancy of TV in 1950, Bill joined Walker Downing Advertising and became a producer. He worked with legends such as Bill Burns, Bob Prince, Ray Scott and Joe Tucker. He was one of the founders of the Maitland Advertising Agency in 1955 and retired as Vice-President and Radio/TV Director after 20 years. In 1975 he became Public Relations Director of DePaul Institute and retired in 1990.
