   Her husband, William H. Burns preceded her in death in 1981.
   
   She received her architectural engineering degree from the University of Illinois. In the 1970's, she was a site engineer working as draftswomen. She was a member of the Common Wealth Club of Montclair, New Jersey. She was an avid bowler and golfer and loved traveling. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
   
   She is survived by three children: Dr. James O. Burns and his wife, Jane E. of Salisbury, Terrence M. Burns of Destin, Florida and Kathleen E. Doyle and her husband Michael W. of Sicklerville; two brothers: Robert Casey of Batavia, Illinois and William Casey of California and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, a son, William H. Burns and a sister, Mary Ann Carey, preceded her in death.
