   During his legal career to date, Mr. Burns has developed experience in a variety of practice areas, including environmental law, labor and employment law, and local government law. He also has trial experience in New Jersey state and federal courts.
   
   A member of both the New Jersey State and Mercer County Bar Associations, Mr. Burns recently completed the 1998-2000 Mercer County American Inn of Court, George H. Barlow session. That Inn of Court was designed to develop trial advocacy and litigation skills, while promoting the need for ethics and civility in the practice of law. He is also active in Mercer County's Young Lawyers Committee. He is also a member of the Pennsylvania Bar.
   
   In 1991, Mr. Burns earned a B.A. in political science from Millersville University (PA). During his time at Millersville, he was a two-year varsity football captain, earning both Football and Academic All-American honors his senior year. In addition, he served as the chairman of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Student Athlete Advisory Committee from 1990 to 1991. In 1995, he earned his J.D. from the Villanova University School of Law.
   
   Tom resides in Yardley, PA with his wife, Kris, son, Thomas IV and daughter Brooke.
