   Tom BurnsTom Burns, Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer for Citi Smith Barney International, assumed responsibility for running the Australian Citi Smith Barney franchise in February 2008.With more than two decades and a diverse background in the securities industry, Tom played a key role in the establishment of the business in 1999 through the purchase of ANZ Stockbroking and HSBC Stockbroking.Today, Citi Smith Barney has six branches and 460 employees in Australia and is acknowledged as one of the country's leading full service brokerage firms.
   
   Tom's previous roles with Citi Smith Barney's predecessor firms included Corporate Controller of Shearson Lehman Brothers and Smith Barney's Chief Financial Officer during the merger period of Smith Barney and Shearson.His subsequent responsibilities have included heading the firm's New Business Group, chairing the New Products Committee and leading the Technology Controller's Group.
   
   Tom is a graduate of St. Francis College and a Certified Public Accountant of the State of New York.

   Thomas M. Burns, CPA, CMA is currently a manager at Lumsden & McCormick, LLP, Certified Public Accountants. Tom joined Lumsden & McCormick in 1999 after working for several years as an accountant for a large international corporation. Tom has extensive experience auditing various nonprofit organizations and specializes in charter schools. He also has experience providing auditing and accounting services to commercial entities, governments and employee benefit plans.
   
   Tom is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA), International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) and National Tooling and Machining Association. He is chairman of the NYSSCPA Committee in Cooperation with the Erie County Bar Association and has served as Treasurer of the Buffalo Chapter of the IMA. Tom earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo with an accounting major.
   
   Tom is married and the father of two children.
