   Steve Burns Project Manager/Environmental Engineer
   
   With over 18 years of experience in Environmental Engineering, Hazardous Waste Operations, Underground Storage Tank Management, and Environmental Consulting Services, Mr. Burns is responsible for Client Consulting Services within AES' mid-atlantic operations area. He specializes in Site Characterization Reports (SCRs), Corrective Action Plans (CAPs), Remediation System Design/Implementation, Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures Plans (SPCCs), and Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs). Mr. Burns has characterized, and brought to closure, numerous environmental projects involving properties impaired with petroleum products, halogenated solvents (VOCs), inorganic metals and pesticides. His qualifications include a B.S. Degree in Physical Science (Chemistry, Mathematics, and Meteorology) from the University of Maryland, 40 Hour OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Training (HAZWOPER), and 8 Hour OSHA Supervisor Training. Mr. Burns is certified by the Maryland Department of the Environment and the District of Columbia Environmental Health Administration for Underground Storage Tank Installations. He is a member of the National Ground Water Association and the American Society of Testing and Materials.
