   If you remember Blue's Clues, the Nick Jr. television show for preschool tykes in which a pastel-dressed geek named "Steve" talked to mailboxes and conspired crackpot adventures with a blue dog, then, well, you're probably too young to be reading this magazine. "Steve" on the show was Steve Burns, a guy who grew up on punk rock, took acting classes, and then ended up as the host of a children's show (first a masturbator, now a punk rocker-the horror of children's TV nowadays!). After six years as the host, Burns up and quit, went back to college and had a chance run-in with producer Dave Fridmann (Flaming Lips, Mogwai, Luna), who introduced him to the Lips' Steve Drozd and Michael Ivins.
