Veteran UIS horticulturist Joan Buckles will conduct a tour of the emerging landscape, starting at the new colonnade and fountain the center of the quadrangle and ending at the pond side Women's Peace and friendship Garden.Established in 1997, the garden has grown into an inviting space for individual contemplation and community celebration.

Veteran horticulturist Joan Buckles will conduct a tour or the emerging UIS landscape. Starting at the new colonnade and fountain in the center of the quadrangle and ending at the pond side Women's Peace and Friendship Garden.

Come back to campus for presentations/tours of UIS landscaping with Joan Buckles, UIS horticulturist; UIS Archives and online oral histories with Jane Treadwell, Dean of Brookens Library and Tom Wood, UIS Archivist; and a 21st Century classroom/language lab with Farokh Eshlahi in the new state of the art University Hall classroom building.

Ting will be working with UIS' horticulturist, Joan Buckles, the grounds crew and students to monitor the temperatures at the roof and below the roof, and to measure water catchment.
