Scott Bryant is the Founder and Executive Director of Equipping the Family Ministries. He and his wife Kimberly are blessed with 6 beautiful children. After graduating from Bible College, Scott began a pilgrimage looking for "real ministry".He was involved in a variety of ministries including: Inner-City Ministry, Christian Camping, Local Church Ministry, Christian School Administration, and Men's Ministry.Though he developed a great deal of experience in these arenas, he increasingly felt God teaching him that "real ministry" began first and foremost in his own family.

This caused him to begin looking for the most effective ways to unleash his family for real ministry.God opened their heart to home schooling, their womb to more children, and their church involvement to family-integrated worship.

This led Scott to begin Belayer so that he could help other families begin to experience the heights that God in his grace had let his family to.He and his family used a 28 foot climbing wall during their Seminars to bring to life the mountain as a metaphor for the spiritual journey. The climbing wall quickly became logistically challenging, and God opened up other avenues of ministry.

Scott and his family moved to a retreat center in Sedalia, Colorado where they would host rental groups and retreats. As they began to look around for a church to attend, the Lord began to fan into flame their hunger to be a part of a family-integrated church. This led them to have Belayer Ministries (now Equipping the Family Ministries) begin The Mountain, a non-denominational Christian church in Castle Rock, Colorado. www.mountainchurch.org

Scott is currently one of the Pastor-Elders in this exciting new church work.He loves to see men seriously committing themselves to Biblical family leadership in the local church. He pryas that Belayer will have many opportunities to encourage and equip men all across the country to climb the heights of God's love.

    ...
Scott Bryant has been the Associate Pastor of Worship Ministries at Lamar Baptist Church since 1987.He received his Bachelor of Music degree at Baylor in 1982 and his Master of Church Music degree at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 1986.As a Texas native, Scott uses his love for the Lord and passion for music to guide people in their worship experience here at LBC.

Scott was raised as the son of a Southern Baptist pastor. At the age of twelve he gave his life to the Lord and was baptized on Christmas Eve in 1972.As a high school junior, Scott attended one of the first Disciple Now weekends. It was there he realized God was calling him into full-time music ministry. He has been serving the Lord in churches since 1980 and was ordained in 1982.

Scott and his wife, Kendra (also a Baylor grad) were married in 1983 and have two children- Nicole and Luke.Next to his relationship with the Lord, his family is the most important thing in his life.

Among other things, Scott enjoys mentoring others that feel called to ministry. So, in his free time, he has taught college courses, contributed to books, produced scripts for Christian broadcasts, led conferences, and provided classes for workshops, retreats and camps.

Scott's vision for our church can be summed up in a narration he recently wrote for a concert:

While you will never find Scott without a cup of coffee, he is always ready and willing to help anyone with anything.

Now after 4 1/2 years the church is going strong and Scott & his family are getting ready to plant their second family-integrated church.
