Mr. Brandon Brucker has extensive experience in the Homeland Security exercise delivery field. He previously served as an analyst supporting the Nunn-Lugar-Domenici Domestic Preparedness Program under DoD and DOJ. This pre 9/11 program was created to prepare the nation,s 120 largest metropolitan areas for acts of terrorism involving weapons of mass destruction (WMD). Under this charter, he provided support to numerous exercises of all varieties throughout the country, as well as working in the Master Control Cell of the first Top Officials (TOPOFF) exercise in 2000.
Before founding Coronus, Inc., Mr. Brucker served as a Team Leader in the Exercise/Operations Division of one of the Department of Homeland Security, Office for Domestic Preparedness,s (ODP) primary exercise and technical assistance contractors. In this position he oversaw the successful delivery of numerous homeland security-related exercises, serving as Lead Exercise Designer, Lead Facilitator, and/or Senior Controller. Many of these exercises were direct support contracts to ODP, while others were performed on behalf of State governments, public utilities, and private industry. These exercises represented myriad levels of complexity, each requiring a unique approach and custom-tailored production and management plans. His oversight of these projects was characterized by consistently high levels of customer and client satisfaction.
Mr. Brucker is an expert in the implementation of the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP), having actively assisted ODP with its creation since the program,s inception. His exercises often serve as models for vetting the latest HSEEP protocols and procedures, with their results often provided as best practices and lessons learned. He enjoys an excellent relationship with many members of ODP staff due to his proven ability to deliver high quality and high value products and services on their behalf.
Among the highlights of Mr. Brucker,s exercise oversight career are the National Capital Region (NCR) Senior Leaders Seminar and the National Capital Region Command Post Exercise. These extraordinarily complex exercises successfully achieved a first-and-largest-of-its-kind coordination among all major jurisdictions and the Federal Government in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area, representing over five million citizens. Mr. Brucker and his staff worked with the Disaster Emergency Planning Committee of the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (MWCOG) to design a scenario that would test the response procedures, including communication, coordination, command, and control, of the more than 30 distinct jurisdictions taking part in the exercises.
