   SIMON BRUCE Simon F. Bruce, a Vice President at SmithGroup/San Francisco, brings leadership in the company's HealthCare Studio with his extensive experience in all aspects of healthcare design and planning. As one of the most senior medical planners and programmers in SmithGroup, Mr. Bruce provides dynamic leadership managing user focus groups, developing programmatic space guidelines and planning for entire medical centers. Mr. Bruce has a particular interest in balancing the requirements of family and patient-focused care while meeting the stringent functional requirements of the clinical environment. His awareness of the overall healthcare trends impacting medical development and the healthcare environment influence his design work to create responsive solutions that are innovative and anticipate change. Mr. Bruce is a graduate from the Kingston University, a registered architect in the United Kingdom of Great Britain, a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects and an associate member of American Institute of Architects. Mr. Bruce recently presented on the development of "Imaging, and the Integration of Surgery & Imaging" at a seminar for the University of California Project Management Institute in Fall 2002.
