   Tucson, January 6, 2004: The Foundation for Creative Broadcasting today announced the appointment of Larry Bruce as the new General Manager of KXCI Community Radio. He was selected from nearly 40 candidates after a six month national search.
   
   A thirty year broadcast veteran, Larry Bruce recently returned to the US following two years in Sydney where he served as General Manager of Nova 969, the London Daily Mail Group's flagship Australian station. He served as an air personality and programmer in free form progressive radio, was a top rated DJ in Denver, programmed legendary stations KGB, San Diego and KMET Los Angeles, and worked with major stations in the US, Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Australia. "Great community radio stations like KXCI are rare," offers Mr. Bruce, "and I consider it a great privilege to be given the opportunity to make a contribution to the station and the Tucson community." Tom Spendiarian, Foundation Board President said, "Larry emerged as the top candidate in the most thorough and laborious GM search that KXCI has ever conducted.
