   Last week: Bruce struck out 14 batters and didn't walk any in a 2-1 victory over Varina in the battle for first place in the Capital District. She was 2 for 3 at the plate and delivered the game-winning RBI. This season: Is 5-3 with one save. In 59 2/3 innings, she has struck out 83, walked eight and has a 0.70 earned-run average and four shutouts. At the plate, she is hitting .429 with two doubles, six RBI and nine runs.
