A knife-wielding man in a mask robbed Gary Drug on Tuesday, May 27 at 8:18 am. But neighbors chased the suspect and a construction worker tackled him and brought him down.
The suspect has been identified as Christopher Bruce, 41, of Boston.
According to a police report, the masked suspect allegedly entered the pharmacy, located at 59 Charles Street. He jumped over the counter with a knife and forced an employee into a back room. Then he demanded Duragesic patches, a form of synthetic heroin, from another employee and took seven boxes of them before leaving the store.
