   Not many coaches admit to having fun during a grueling season, but Birdville coach Chris Bruce isn't one of them.
   
   Bruce's team took a 10-game winning streak into its game against Bishop Lynch on Thursday and has already surpassed its win total from last season with eight regular-season games left. Birdville had a 14-2 record prior to Thursday's game.
   
   All the winning has brought more fans to the games.
   
   "We're just having fun," Bruce said. "We haven't won a lot in years past. They're just taking pride in winning this year."
   
   But the Silver Division team knows it's really about how a team performs in the playoffs.
   
   "Realistically now we could lose the rest of our games and still be in the playoffs," Bruce said. "It's great that we're winning in the regular season, but if we lose the first game of the playoffs, it really kind of ruins the whole year."
   
   Bruce said the return of junior defenseman Josh Skinner has bolstered an already-talented lineup.
