    High school Principal John Brucato confirmed yesterday three students have been treated after testing positive for staph, while a teacher is now suspected of carrying the contagious skin infection.

    A sophomore on the high school swim team has been treated after testing positive for staph in early September, Brucato said.

    Staph is characterized by skin lesions and symptoms such as redness, warmth, swelling, pus, boils and blisters, according to a fact sheet he provided.
