   It was a family reunion for the Brubaker family when siblings Marina, David and Catherine, all musicians with major symphonic orchestras, got together Friday, October 25th, to perform for the Symphony Society Salon Series in the Woodlands home of music enthusiast Scott Cutler.

   Marina Brubaker has been a violinist with the Houston Symphony since 1988 and currently serves as an assistant concertmaster. She began her career in the Fort Worth Symphony and was also concertmaster of the Grand Rapids Symphony. She has a music degree from Wichita State University and Yale School of Music.

   Marina told the audience how easy it was to play with her family. "We can often tell what one another is thinking," she said.
   
   It quickly became evident that only a group of musicians who can read each other's minds could put together a program of the complex and intricate chamber works of Prokofiev, Martinu and Dvorak, and perform them with such ease and elegance.
