   David's practice also emphasizes the non-bankruptcy aspects of business law, by handling a considerable number of commercial litigation matters and transactional dealings.
   
   David began his career in San Francisco at a tax litigation firm. There he worked on both commercial and tax litigation matters, as well as on a number of Ninth Circuit appellate cases involving the application of federal income taxes, the assessment of state sales taxes, and their interplay with bankruptcy.
   
   David worked as an associate for Levene, Neale, Bender, Rankin & Brill, a prominent Chapter 11 bankruptcy firm in Century City. At Levene Neale Bender, David helped lead corporate and large asset individual clients through the process of Chapter 11 reorganizations, from filing to plan confirmation. David also obtained extraordinary experience in preference recovery cases, having represented a major corporate retailer as special litigation counsel in prosecuting more than two hundred individual preference actions in the Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
   
   David graduated cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles with a degree in Economics. He received his Juris Doctor from Hastings College of the Law.
