   Cindy Brownstein joined the Epilepsy Foundation in 1995, serving as the organization's Vice President of Programs and Communications. In 1999, Ms. Brownstein was named as the Foundation's Executive Vice President.
   
   She began her career in the non-profit arena at the Hospital Association of New York State, a chapter of the American Hospital Association system. She served both as Vice President of Research & Education and as Executive Director of the Association's affiliate, the Healthcare Educational and Research Fund.
   
   Ms. Brownstein is a graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia and holds a Masters degree in Educational Administration from the State University of New York - Albany.
