  Bernard Brownstein, MD, Vice President, Global Medical Management & SafetyDr. Brownstein directs the operations of the Medical Management and Safety group, monitors the medical and safety aspects of projects managed by Premier Research and provides medical and safety consulting services to sponsors, clinical sites and project teams.Dr. Brownstein also serves as the Principal Investigator for the Coordinating Center for the Best Pharmaceuticals for Children Act (BPCA) for the NICHD/NIH.Before joining Premier Research in 2002, Dr. Brownstein was a general practitioner for 25 years, including Board Certification 5 times in Family Practice.He has participated as an investigator in numerous clinical trials.In addition to his many years in private practice, Dr. Brownstein has worked in the healthcare industry, most recently as a Physician Advisor for Intracorp, a division of CIGNA and as Associate Medical Director for US Healthcare for thirteen years.He has served on the teaching staff of three medical school hospitals: Temple University, Medical College of Pennsylvania, and the Pennsylvania State University.He is a past President of the Philadelphia Academy of Family Physicians.Dr. Brownstein received his medical degree from Hahnemann Medical College.
