Glen Brownridge started his career, as the Assistant Manager for Customer Service for Bell Canada's private mobile radio and point-to-point radio systems. He willingly took on new responsibilities and projects within Bell Canada, eventually moving to the affiliate Bell Communications Systems. In 1987, Brownridge took a position as Manager of Network Engineering with Northern Telecom. Now as the Senior Manager for Government Alliances for Nortel Networks, Brownridge's responsibilities are global in nature, as he is the primary contact for Nortel's DMS100 digital surveillance system. A major part of the work involves accountability for all project management, marketing and development for a classified secret program with the Canadian government. He also works with the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI) Communications Assistance for Law Enforcement Act (CALEA) program and is involved in developing a multi-million dollar Government Emergency Telephone Service. As a member of the Joshua Creek Ratepayer's Association, Brownridge works on land use concerns on behalf of his fellow residents. He has been a highly valued member of the Program Advisory Committee for Sheridan's Electronics Technology program since 1975, and continues to be a mentor for alumni and students in the program. -
