Beverly Brownreceived her law degree from Osgoode Hall in 1981. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 1983. She went into private practice in Hamilton for two years. Then in 1984 she entered the Hamilton Crown Attorney's office and remained there until 1991. She then transferred to the Crown Law Office - Criminal where she stayed until May 2003. Since then, she has been Counsel in the Office of the Chief Coroner in Toronto.
Bev was an active member of our executive from 1997 until her appointment. She was Co-Vice-Chair from 1999 to 2003. She was a speaker at many of our continuing legal education programs, as well as those run by the Law Society and the Ontario Crown Attorney's Association (she is a past-President of the O.C.A.A.) and at the Bar Admissions Course and the Intensive Trial Advocacy Program at Osgoode Hall. Her most amazing feat in this area however is her co-chairing four consecutive OBA Annual Institute Criminal Law Programs from 1999 through 2002.
