FRITCH - The National Park Service will dedicate a 21-foot Boston Whaler patrol boat Saturday in honor of the late John Brownlee of Borger , who died in an industrial accident in 1999 , according to a news release.
The ceremony will take place at 9 a.m. at the Sanford-Yake upper parking area and should last about a half-hour , the release stated.
After the formal dedication , Brownlee's wife , Emily , will take a symbolic ride over Lake Meredith in the boat. Others also may ride in the boat later.
The park decided late last year to name its fleet of patrol boats after people who had made a significant contribution to Lake Meredith National Recreation Area.

Brownlee was an active member of the Boy Scouts of America , president of the Kiwanis Club and a founding member of the Small Fry Fishing Association , according to the release.
