John Brownlee, Jr. became City Administrator on January 24, 2000. John is a life-long citizen of the Defiance area, graduating from Tinora High School. John received his B.A. in Environmental Policy and Analysis in 1991 from Bowling Green State University and is presently pursuing his MPA in Public Administration from Bowling Green.
John came to the City of Defiance from the Defiance County offices where he served as their Operations Manager and previously as the Safety Director / Assistant Director Environmental Services.
