Mrs. Browning Burnese Browning, 90, of Amarillo, died on Wednesday, April 19, 2006. She was born in Alanreed to Jewel and Wilson Blakney on Oct. 23, 1915. She graduated from McLean High School in 1933. She married Erwin Browning on Sept. 15, 1934, in Alanreed and moved to Amarillo in 1949. She worked for the Potter County Clerk's Office for 20 years before retiring in 1980. She was one of the founding members of the Golden Spread Emmaus Community, and a charter member of the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1968, and one sister, Wilsie Parker, in 1981.
