   Tom is Senior Vice President and the Chief Investment Officer of National Life Insurance Company, and heads up Sentinel's fixed-income investment group. He has held a variety of positions in the fixed-income area since joining Sentinel in 1992, and was named Chief Investment Officer in October 2004. Prior to joining Sentinel, Tom was an associate with GE Capital's Corporate Finance Group in Stamford, Connecticut. He has over 18 years of investment management experience.
   
   Tom is a graduate of Bowdoin College, and earned his M.B.A. from the Babson College School of Management with high distinction. He earned his CFA designation in 1994, and is a member of the CFA Institute and the Vermont CFA Society.
