Fritz was born on July 20, 1928, to Arthur and Ruby Brownell. Fritz graduated from Daw-son County High School in Glendive in 1946 ; she then attended Daw-son College. She kept books for Tomolino's Music and the NPBA Hospital until 1967 when she took a job with Puget Sound Hospital in Tacoma, Wash. She retired in 1990 and in 1994 returned to Billings to be closer to her extended family. Fritz's life also involved music and the piano which she played with Chet Griffin Dixielanders and many others, often at Sam's Arcade in Glendive. She was a life member of the Eastern Star. She also collected Happy Faces and raised her special friend, Tessie the cat. Fritz touched many lives and every life she touched was changed in some way, we will miss the love, guidance and strength she gave each of us every day. She is survived by her husband, Fred Brocker of Billings ; a son, Clayton Florand of Billings ; two stepsons, Bob Brocker of Anchorage, Alaska, and Ron Brocker of Billings ; her brother Art Brownell (Sandy) of Beverly Hills, Fla. ; her nieces and nephews, Craig Brownell (Susan), Stacy Bertrand (Tracy), Brad Brownell and Stephanie Nance all of Billings. Fritz had five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Claremont Brownell and sister, Sheila Rae Parkinson, also by her infant son, Clifford. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday Aug. 25, at Dahl Funeral Chapel. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Glendive at Silvernale-Silha.
