Suzanne Browne has taught math at Bishop Moore High School in Orlando, Fla., for 36 years. She entered the BVM congregation after high school and left to care for her ailing parents in 1966. "I've always loved the community and have maintained contact with BVM friends over the years," she says.
Her first re-immersion in the community was attendance at the golden jubilee reunion of "her set" in 2000. "It was wonderful, so warm and welcoming." It was there that she was invited to become an Associate.
She celebrated her commitment as an Associate at the opening School Mass in August 2001.
Sue lives out the BVM core value of Education. She recently participated in an invitational conference at the University of Notre Dame because some of her former students, now at Notre Dame, nominated her as the teacher that has had the most influence in their lives.
