Crews found heavy smoke coming from behind the building but had the situation under control within 90 minutes, said Doylestown Fire Co. spokesman Larry Browne. Several firefighters wearing gas masks were hosed down and scrubbed with large brushes after coming out of the factory. Browne said the burning alcohol, which left an acrid smell in the air, didn't pose any serious health risks. "That was just precautionary," Browne said of the hose-down. "None of our guys were hurt." In all, 62 firefighters from five local companies responded. Nine fire trucks and five ambulance units lined the block's parking lots and the short cul-de-sac leading to the factory. -
