Kelvin Browne appointed Managing Director
The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) is pleased to announce the appointment of Kelvin Browne as the Managing Director of the Institute for Contemporary Culture (ICC) at the ROM, effective September 13, 2004.In this newly-created position, Mr. Browne will expand the programming for the new ICC Gallery, lead its fund-raising efforts, and manage the delivery of its services to members and ROM visitors.He will also serve on the ROM's senior management team in preparing for the opening of the new ROM next year.
Mr. Browne has been a member of the ICC Council for the past three years and has served in various capacities as both a member and volunteer of the ROM Foundation.He has a Bachelor and Master of Architecture (Urban Planning) from the University of Toronto and brings more than a decade of marketing and brand management consulting to the ROM.Mr. Browne has written numerous articles on architecture, design, photography and urban issues for leading Canadian magazines and newspapers.
