More recently, Kelly Browne of the University of Connecticut School of Law Library, did a similar survey. 8 (3) Perspectives: Teaching Legal Research & Writing 140 (Spring 2000). Because the Browne survey's results were so utterly similar, almost identical, to the Gruben survey, I thought it worthwhile to bring their basic findings to your attention.
Interestingly, most of the librarians' concerns locus around a limited set of skills, generally administrative law, electronic legal research, practice aids and materials, and comportment, with much overlap, if not complete consistency -- in sum, just four or five general areas circumscribe their concerns.
