   Elaine Browne, Housing Manager for Bromford Housing Group, explained, "We've worked extremely hard in attempting to resolve this case through other routes and offer the necessary support to all involved but sometimes we are left with no other alternative but to take legal action, which is always a last resort."
   
   Possession proceedings commenced in June and an interim Injunction with power of arrest has been taken against the customer. In August, the customer breached his injunction and both staff and residents were witnesses at a Court hearing which resulted in the offending customer being given a 10-week custodial sentence and the Injunction being amended to protect staff from further abuse. The possession hearing is scheduled for the end of September, which for the residents of the estate could mean the end to months of intimidation and harassment.
   
   Elaine Browne commented, "I am glad that we were in a position to be able to protect our tenants from this type of behaviour and that this sentence sends a message to others, that anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated."
