"Temping is good for both the employer and the job seeker," says Wendy Brown, the Regional Manager for AppleOne Employment Services.AppleOne is one of the larger employment agencies in Albuquerque, and they find regular employees for businesses as well as temps."Temping allows businesses and employees to screen each other," Brown says."It's a ‘try before you buy' approach, to see if the business and the employee are a good match in terms of skills and personality."

Temporary employment agencies, at least those that are legitimate, never charge an employee, and there are no fees paid by job seekers. The same rules apply in temping that would apply in an interview, stay professional, follow through on your commitments, polish your résumé and show up on time."We have employers who will spellcheck every résumé they receive, and if they find even one error, that candidate is out," says Brown.
