   "Pretty much these days, you have to have an Internet presence," says Wendy Brown, marketing and public relations director at Lane Packing Company, a Fort Valley, Ga., peach and pecan orchard.
   
   The 97-year-old company ships its products to nearly every state in the country. Online sales extend on-farm visits and a longstanding mail-order business.
   
   "It's just phenomenal the orders we get online," Brown says.

   Wendy Brown, spokeswoman for Lane Packing Co. in Fort Valley, said wet weather in the spring caused Lane's peach crop to be cut in half from what was anticipated in January.
