   Rev. Phil Brown has been the Associate Minister at First Protestant Church since October, 2005. Before moving his family to Texas to join the staff at First Protestant, Phil served as the Associate Pastor at Cottage Grove Evangelical Congregational Church in Akron, Ohio for 6 years.
   
   Phil graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana in 1997 with a Bachelor's degree in the area of Christian Ministries. He met his wife Anna while they were both students at IWU, and they have been happily married since 1997 and have three children, Phillip, Katy and Elijah.
   
   Phil has three loves in his life - the Lord Jesus Christ, his wife and family, and the Ohio State Buckeyes! His life is characterized by his "life-verse" from Acts 20:24 - "But my life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus - the work of telling others the Good News about God's wonderful kindness and love."

   Mrs. Brown was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hot Springs. She loved gospel music. She worked at various jobs but her biggest love was her family especially her great grandchildren in her later years.
