I met Carole at a London Business School Alumni conference and was very taken by her presentation on whole brain thinking, based on the Herrmann model.I remembered the offer Carole had made of a free coaching session to anyone that wrote to her writing the legacy they would want to leave behind. This notion kept flooding back into my mind over a couple of years, before I decided to get in touch with Carole.
By this time Carole was based in the US.I was initially skeptical that you could have a fruitful dialogue with someone via telephone and email. However, over the period I have seen this actually to be a strength.I think that it would be easy for a coach to become a prop and life support aid.On the contrary, Carole equips her clients to continue on their own.She does this by 'teaching a man to fish', setting exercises and actions that increase their own skills and self-sufficiency and ability to develop others. So do not undertake coaching with Carole if you think it will be a walk in the park and that you are going to sit back and just absorb - as with all things that are rewarding, it takes commitment from both sides.
Whilst I am familiar with the strategy and planning process in a business context, and had experience of planning career moves, I had never really fundamentally addressed what were the key things I wanted to achieve in my life overall.Carole has led me to think through my own value system and my own deep-rooted motivations, including some that I had never surfaced before.Carole has a wide breadth of training and knowledge (from coaching to healing; from NLP to holographic repatterning) and was able to delve flexibly into her different resources to guide me.Carole has encouraged me to set clear goals and then supported me to devise a plan of action to meet these goals, in a more structured way than I would have done myself. For me, Carole has spanned the counselling to coaching continuum, and has shown herself to be at ease with personal and family issues as well as with personnel and business issues.
I would and will recommend Carole to anyone hungry to revisit their own potential, resources and path in life.

I first met Carole in 2002 at her London Business School seminars based around the Herrmann Thinking Styles. She made me think - about what I was good at, what my values (and prejudices) were, what I wanted, what was getting in the way. Then about 18 months later when I left a secure job in a large company to build my own law practice advising young businesses, I turned to Carole as a coach.I got help with perspective and motivation, insights into why things were working (or not), gentle steers (which suited me - I don't respond well to the bullying style of coaching).Over 5 months of telephone coaching, I moved a long way towards understanding what I wanted and what I have to do to achieve it.I found each session energising and thought-provoking, and the 'to do's' I brought away from each session practical and relevant. I have experienced a number of different coaches over the years - and would thoroughly recommend Carole to anyone who wants to be constructively challenged to get the most from themselves.

I was in a stalled job search when I first met Carole at a workshop at Columbia Business School in March, 2003.Carole's workshop was extremely effective in helping participants understand that thinking styles help clarify those jobs we seek, how we go about finding them and why we sometimes hit roadblocks in attaining what we want. After an introductory coaching session, offered as part of the workshop, I knew that coaching was something I needed to do for myself and that Carole was the one to do it with. I was initially surprised when Carole asked me to develop three goals for myself; two not directly related to my job search.

I whole-heartedly recommend Carole and coaching to all people who are ready to challenge themselves and work hard towards attaining what they want in their lives.

Carole worked with me at a time when I had to make some very serious decisions about the direction of my life and face up to choices I had been avoiding for a long time. Not only did she help me identify what/how my life should be about, she also gave me the courage, as well as tools towards achieving these goals.

Carole has been a great resource for me in addressing various issues in my professional and personal life. She has helped me structure and achieve my goals and has done so with insight and empathy.I would wholeheartedly recommend Carole to anyone who seeks to set and realise ambitious goals.

Carole has enabled me to identify who I am and be confident in whatever path I choose to take. Her thoughtful questions, exploratory exercises and support have empowered me.I now have a knowledge of myself and a toolkit of techniques to help me navigate all situations in life.Achieving this has required me to step outside of my comfort zone ....I could not have done this without the sensitive support of Carole. So many people would benefit from a ‘dose of Carole' to achieve fulfilment in their lives.

Carole Brown coached me face-to-face and over the telephone for 12 sessions in the last quarter of 2001. Carole's greatest skill was to constantly provide me with frameworks that I could use to gain perspective on my performance in a new job and to provide me with ways to explore what my values and goals were in light of this new position. She also introduced me to various methods and exercises that I have continued to employ to develop my mid and long term objectives.Carole's coaching has resulted in my gaining a much clearer sense of my self: relationships, values, skills and goals.Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, she has inspired me with a sense of my possibility. I thank her for her patience and persistence.

I first heard Carole Brown when she was speaking on 'Thinking, Creativity & Communication' at the London Business School this summer. We were all fascinated by her approach to maximising potential and her use of the Herrmann Survey.Since then I have completed the HBDI survey myself and worked 'one to one' with Carole.

I used Carole Brown as my Life Coach, at a time when I was setting up a new business. Carole helped me to build up confidence in my abilities and helped me realise how I could use my existing skills to tackle new activities of which I had little or no prior experience.I was impressed by how quickly she was able to help me identify the issues which were preventing me from taking action. In particular she helped me to focus on how I could improve my performance with respect to communicating difficult issues to clients and colleagues. Above all I gained an awareness of how I behave in certain situations, which I wanted to change - Carole helped me do this. The work we did together continued to benefit me well beyond the time she spent as my Coach.

Carole Brown has been coaching me since January 2001 and I am delighted to be able to recommend her.She has helped me on two levels: first through focusing on major themes she has enabled me to achieve ever-increasing clarity on key life and work issues. At the same time she has helped me to transform this 'big picture' thinking into actionable steps that I can deliver on a weekly basis. I have greatly enjoyed our sessions and thank Carole for her support and generosity of spirit.

Carole is a top-notch visualizer! I recently had a very important business meeting for which I very much wanted to see the best outcome.Carole took me through a complete visualization of the meeting itself and the moments before and after it on the day before it actually took place. Not only was Carole on the mark with how to get me to the other side of that meeting and back, but her sensitivity to the nuances of lighting that path, took me beyond each and every obstacle I could have created for myself.

Ms Carole Brown
I have known Carole Brown since I became her Mentoring Coach when she joined the Life Coaching Academy in the UK. It became apparent very quickly that Carole had a considerable intellect and many years of applying it with great effect when she worked as a Career Consultant and Coach at KPMG. Carole brings her natural intelligence to coaching in such a way that it never intimidates nor debilitates her clients. Her coaching style is relaxed and yet focused, supportive and yet challenging; generous and yet demanding of her clients' best. This is precisely what they give her, their very best, in a way that is entirely at the service of their own goals and often accompanied by surprise and then delight at having discovered their potential. Carole Brown is an excellent coach and a coach of excellence because she expects of herself the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. I consider it an honour to call myself her friend.
