Amanda Brown
Amanda comes to ACHSA from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Budget Office, where she helped the Department integrate budget and performance information and managed the Department's Annual Plan and Report.While at HHS, Amanda also served as a Program Analyst for both the Head Start Bureau and the Children's Bureau.At the Children's Bureau, she reviewed States' Title IV-B Annual Progress and Services Reports to identify best practice examples and training needs.Prior to working for HHS, Amanda worked at the Michigan Department of Human Service, where she managed the Education and Training Voucher program, a one million dollar Federal grant making available education scholarships to foster youth pursuing post-secondary education.She also evaluated state child welfare outcomes.On a personal note, Amanda's parents have been foster parents for many years.Amanda is a graduate of Purdue University, where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree, with Honors, in Law and Society.Amanda also received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan, with a Concentration in Social Policies and Program Evaluation.
