    Mrs. Brown was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Delta, where she was organist, a member of the choir, Sunday school teacher, a church officer, and a member of the United Presbyterian Women.Mrs. Brown had family ties to the Eckert Presbyterian Church, the construction of which was completed during the pastorate of her father in 1921.She was a member and past president of the BK chapter of PEO, a volunteer at the Delta County Museum in its early years, and until her eyesight began to fail at 81, she was a Pink Lady at Delta County Memorial Hospital and delivered Meals on Wheels for the Delta Senior Citizen Center.

    Mrs. Brown enjoyed a sense of humor, music, reading, gardening, bridge, knitting and traveling.

    In the last 14 years of her life, Mrs. Brown suffered from age-related macular degeneration which led to blindness.She opened her home to an AMD support group.

    Mrs. Brown is survived by two sons, Robert A. Brown and his wife Jeanie, and James D. Brown, all of Delta; a daughter and her husband, Beth and John Tomsick of Mariposa, Calif.; five grandchildren, Juanita Ensley and Gina Wyble, both of Cedaredge, John Tomsick and his wife Mimi of San Diego, Calif., Amy Tomsick of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Christopher Brown of Delta; two great-grandchildren, Colton Ensley and Max Tomsick; three stepgrandsons, Matthew Becker of Arizona, and Brady Brown and Andy Brown, both of New York City, N.Y.; 16 nieces and nephews; and two sisters-in-law, Mary Brown of Grand Junction, and Evelyn Hunsicker of Emporia, Kan. Mrs. Brown is survived by two sons, Robert A. Brown and his wife Jeanie, and James D.     Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, A. Allen Brown; three sisters, Ruth Hunt, Margaret Bailey and Dorothy Doughty; two brothers, Bromer Hunsicker and Frederick (Fritz) Hunsicker; and a stepgranddaughter, Natalie Becker Edgington.
