Alan Brook.Remember, as far as we are all concerned here - you took part in one of the all-time great, history-in-the-making, yacht racing events and you did not let yourselves or anyone else down.Congratulations from us all and - hopefully - we will be able to enjoy a British Challenge effort in alongside you at the 31st event. We're sorry you lost the chance to challenge, but sure hope you will come back again soon for another try, as the event has been all the richer for your participation this time. The excitement and thrills experienced here from watching your sail & boat handling skills have brought us all to marvel at the obvious tension - yet amazing coolnness under pressure - and we have just been in awe. Here at Oyster we have been holding lunch time video sessions for all the interested sailors in our staff to see the final races over the last few weeks.

Alan Brook, joint managing director of Oyster Marine, says: "2005 was an unusual year.It started slowly and it was fortunate that we had such a strong forward order book.

"But the changes we made to the deck design means that the orders picked up later in the year and we ended the year happy with how well we had done," he says.

Most of Oyster's yachts are manufactured at two Wroxham boatyards, Landamore and Windboats.Mr Brook says the Norwich construction boom of the past year means they are struggling to recruit enough workers.

He says: "The Wroxham yards are very busy and our real problem is losing staff to construction and kitchen fitting.
