Mr. Brinkmeier is a trial lawyer with more than twenty-six years of litigation, trial and appellate experience in state and federal courts. He was recently named for the fifth year in a row as one of the top lawyers in the State of Illinois in his practice area by the Leading Lawyers Network; a distinction recognized by fewer than 5% of all Illinois lawyers throughout the state. He was recognized again as a SuperLawyer 2010 in Chicago Magazine as selected by Law & Politics and is one of a select group of attorneys in Illinois who hold both these designations.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Brinkmeier has represented clients both large and small. Mr. Brinkmeier is a published author and frequent speaker on litigation law topics, and he has been an active leader and member of various professional associations ranging from the DuPage County and Chicago Bar Associations to the Illinois State Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Appellate Lawyers Association.

He remains active in his community as a member of the Board of Trustees at Elmhurst College and serves as a Commissioner for the City of Elmhurst Zoning and Planning Commission.   He has also served as appointed on numerous task forces, citizens committees and volunteer work groups.
