Aaron Brinkman,s practice focuses on antitrust clearance for domestic and international mergers, joint ventures and acquisitions, antitrust litigation, class actions and competition counseling.

PracticeMr. Brinkman has experience in advocating for regulatory approval of mergers by US and European competition authorities, including responding to Second Requests and civil investigative demands issued by the US Department of Justice and Federal Trade Commission, assisting in pre-merger client counseling, assisting in drafting a Response to the Statement of Objections by the European Commission and preparing witnesses and testimony for an Oral Hearing before the Commission.Mr. Brinkman also has experience in private, government and class action antitrust litigation, including a federal direct purchaser price-fixing class action; a US government civil antitrust action under Sherman Act Section 1; and private antitrust actions under Sherman Act Sections 1 and 2, Clayton Act Section 7 and the Robinson-Patman Act.His litigation experience also has included coordinating testimony of economic experts, challenging expert testimony and drafting appellate briefs.Mr. Brinkman also has been active in counseling clients on the antitrust laws and compliance.

During law school, he participated in writing amicus curiae briefs to the US Supreme Court in Wyoming v. Houghton and Kolstad v. ADA.

Prior to joining Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP, Mr. Brinkman was an associate at Clifford Chance Rogers & Wells in New York City.
