David J. Brine Q.C., of Vancouver, is appointed a judge of the Supreme Court of British Columbia.He will be assigned to Vancouver-New Westminster by the Chief Justice.

The trial judge, David Brine, convicted Quinn on Feb. 25, 2005 following a trial in B.C. Supreme Court in New Westminster.

Brine found Quinn had traded on her reputed good character to engage in a sophisticated scheme of writing bogus cheques and depositing them in the bank accounts of 14 fictitious companies, between 1996 and 2000.
